S'more Bars

10.30.2013

I've been wanting to make S'more bars for quite some time now but I wanted to find the perfect recipe, that didn't have too many graham crackers! When I found this recipe online the photo that was provided made the bars look very thin and little, so when I made them myself I was a little scared to see how they would turn out. But thankfully they are very thick and big! The chocolate chips inside this bar makes it so delicious because they don't fully melt when baking so when you take a bit they just burst inside your mouth of chocolate gooeyness. This recipe is so easy to make and takes like ten minutes to make. Plus I love this recipe because you only need a few ingredients that are usually in everyone's pantry!
 Ingredients
1/2 cup butter; softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. of vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumps (maybe five rectangles)
1 tsp. of baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
4 1/1 oz. chocolate chips or three regular sized chocolate bars
2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch square baking pan. This recipe will make about ten squares/bars. Beat butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and a fluffy consistency. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. The gradually, add the flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking soda and salt. Mix until it is well blended. Press half the dough into the prepared pan. Then arrange the chocolate chips all over the dough, so it is covering the dough. Then pour marshmallows on top of that, then scatter bits of the remaining dough over the marshmallows. Bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned.
