Let Freedom Ring // Layered Drink

6.30.2013

I am absolutely 100% addicted to this drink! It tastes amazing and I just love how the colors separate in the glass! It's super easy and you only need three different flavored drinks to make this! Enjoy.

What you'll need:
•Blue Gatorade low calorie
•Cranberry juice
•Zero or Diet Sprite

How to make it:
On the bottom of the cup place anywhere from 2-5 ice cubes and poor in the cranberry juice a little less than half way. Then fill up the rest of the cup with ice. Pour in the sprite but be sure to leave enough room for the Gatorade. Then just add the blue Gatorade and there you have it! A Fourth of July Layered drink!

Little Tip:
When making this drink, the only way the colors don't mix is because of the sugar grams. So whatever drink has the most sugar goes on the bottom first, and then you add your less sugar gram drinks!

Let Freedom Ring // Nail Tutorial

6.27.2013

Fourth of July is just around the corner, and I am getting so excited! I have many things planned and I can't wait! This year I have been enjoying the fashion trends for the "Fourth," and wanted to share some of my own re-creations with you for this holiday's celebration. To get into the Fourth of July spirit here is a really cute and simple nail tutorial. Also I will be having like a mini series of all different projects, recipes, and outfits while we count down the days for the Forth. So keep your eyes on the look out for "Let Freedom Ring," posts because that is the title of this mini series!
What are your plans for the Fourth and what has been your favorite way of getting into the spirit?

Temporary

6.25.2013

Everything in life is temporary, absolutely everything. Right now this is something that God has put on my heart. He is reminding me that in the end nothing else matters but Him. At times I can find myself having more pleasure or happiness from material things, instead of my happiness coming from God and his love for me. Sure there is nothing wrong with being happy about buying or having new/nice things, but when it becomes my everything I know that is not okay, because later none of it will matter. I do not want to make my material things become my main focus in life. I want to use my material items to please God and use it for his glory. If I spend so much time focusing on my material items I will never have time for the Lord. I want my joy, happiness, love, and contentment to come from God, rather than the things in the world. Everything in the world can only bring me temporary happiness or joy, not everlasting and fulfilling joy like God's. I want to find joy in the Lord rather than in the world because everything here on earth will not be with me in the end. "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Sunset Cliff's

6.23.2013 San Diego, CA, USA

Gods creation never seems to stop taking my breath away, especially when it comes to the ocean. Today in San Diego we took a drive and found Sunset Cliffs. It was just gorgeous and I being the photographer who always has to capture photos for my blog, stopped along the side of the road to capture beautiful and fun pictures. I always love exploring new little places, and todays little cove was a huge treat. Thank you God for all your beautiful creation!

Just a quick reminder, GFC is leaving in July, so if you would like to still receive updates on my blog...come on over and give me a follow! Comment down below letting me know if you did, because I would be glad to return the favor! :) Thanks so much.

Little Things

6.18.2013

Ever notice how fast days, months, and even years go by? I know that the older I get the more I realize that. When life goes by so fast, we don't stop along the way and enjoy the little things. Instead we are too busy doing other things, and going other places. But what we miss along the way is sometimes the most important. I encourage you to just stop whatever it is you are doing, and take a look around at what is surrounding you. Stop and focus on the little things. Spend more time doing the things you love. Most importantly slow down and enjoy life. <3

Happy Fathers Day

6.16.2013

Happy Father's Day, Dad! I just want to thank you so much for being the most wonderful Dad ever. I know I can always count on you for anything. You have always been there for me whenever I was sick, needing help with homework, or when I was little you would commit to being my coach for softball, soccer, or absolutely any sport I played. You have always been at every dance, voice, or piano recital. I love that you have always encouraged me to do my best and be all that I can be. I want to thank you for homeschooling me and wanting me to have an excellent education. You are an amazing example of a father and husband who loves his family but most importantly the Lord. You have always taught me to love and to follow the Lord. You have encouraged me to have my own relationship with the Lord in my life, and you have been a wonderful example what that looks like! I thank you so much for all that you do for me and for what you mean to me in my life. I also want to thank you for all your help these past few days with my surgery! I love you so much Dad! <3

Point Mugu

6.09.2013

Every time I visit the beach I fall more in love with it! Point Mugu is the most gorgeous beach ever. We were driving along the coast and I just had to stop on the side of the road to snap some photos! Nothing screams summer like the beach.

Dream Big

6.07.2013

"Let your dreams become more than just dreams." In life sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone and live your dreams. Right now I am literally having to live by that. There are so many things I want to accomplish and succeed in, like traveling all over Europe, go to my dream college which is California Baptist University, and changing the world in some little way. I want to live my dreams and love them. But I know I can't live them without God's help. Ultimately God has a bigger and better plan for my future than what I have for myself. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." But that doesn't mean I can't try to succeed in my dreams and see if God opens a window and later many doors. Sometimes I can become discouraged and think that some dreams of mine are too big and too crazy, and sometimes impossible. But their not impossible with God beside me. Matthew 19:26 "Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." I want to encourage you to dream big and to live your dreams out loud, but remember to have God come along side you through your journey because he is the one that will allow every dream to come true.

Graduating as a Sophomore

6.02.2013

Wow has this year has gone by fast! Its crazy to think that I will be a Junior in High School next semester. This year as a sophomore has been amazing. My classes and teachers have all been awesome. It has been hard saying goodbye to all my fellow classmates, and my wonderful and favorite teacher, but I know next school year I will be able to make even more wonderful memories! I have been able to learn so much academically but also spiritually. This past year I have been running through my mind some fun and special memories that has happened in a few of my classes. Going to a coffee shop to have French class, my teacher making homemade crepes in French class, celebrating birthdays with delicious treats, occasional Starbucks runs in class, big debate parties, and special movies and popcorn for History. I will always hold a special place in my heart for this year as a sophomore. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better year. I can't wait to see all the wonderful surprises and adventures summer hold this year.  <3 Goodbye sophomore and hello junior year.
